My life through my phone.

Thought id give you a little update, since it is clear that i am rubbish at making this blog frequent and exciting. Whoops. So here we go...

• I made my uni room extra cosy recently, i have a new topper on my bed so its crazy comfy, i have gorgeous new sheets from IKEA and photos of my beautiful family and friends. 
• I embraces halloween in all its glory and had a pumpkin spice latte and a toffee apple, it was fairly awful. 
• Found this snap i had forgotten about from holiday to the Isle of Scilly with my family and lovely boy. 
• I manned up and cut off my hair, was the best decision i have made in a long time. I cant remember having long hair. I love having shorty locks. (I showed the hair dresser a picture of phoebe from Made in Chelsea - don't judge )
• I went home a while back and saw my beautiful Pooch, i miss her lots. CANT WAIT FOR CHRISTMAS. 
• I bought these gorgeous shoes from the KG outlet in Gunwarf Quays. They are Carvela, and the best bit, they were reduced from £70 to £12. 
• Portsmouth, and the south coast in general, have the most amazing sun sets. This is looking out over the boats in Gunwarf.
• This is my princess boy. 
• In a shoe dilemma - do i go with Doc Martens Selenas or Vegabonds Dioon?! HELP ME
• Bought this dress from Asos, Motel Rocks. I really do hate body con and i quite dislike colour, but actually very happy with this. And it was crazy cheap. (i think it was £7)
• Was proud of myself because i threw a blanket over an office chair and pretended it was a arm chair. 
• Bought a Revlon nail polish from POUNDLAND for a POUND and its the most beautiful grey blue colour. 
• I've nailed gluten free pancakes, they are bloody amazing. These are blueberry, and i love to have bacon with my pancakes. I'm not a healthy person. Soz. 
• I recently did a food shop, it was amazing. As most students know, having a full food cupboard is one of the most beautiful things. 
• Las but not least is another beautiful sun set looking over Gunwarf.

MAGAZINE DESIGN!!! I'm really bad maintaining a blog...

Sooooo... I know this isnt really what this blog is for, but i thought HEY, LETS MIX IT UP A LITTLE.

I am a journalism student and basically i suck at writing. Say whatttttt.

So, i put all my time and energy into design. Mainly magazine design. 

My crazy little uni decided to set us 6 pages of magazine before christmas. But i love this stuff. 

I know its a bit daft, and terribly written and there are all sorts of spelling mistakes, but i thought i would share my work with any one who actually feels the need to click on my tiny ickle blog :)

So here is is:

(Some context: The magazine is called Pretty City, 5 of us are doing 6 pages each, its a womens magazine that focuses on student life, and each issue is based on a different university city around the country - meh)

 

 

 

I really love doing this stuff. I think its what id like to end up doing. We'll see :)

I WANT NEW HAIR.

I have semi useless hair at the moment. What i describe as a 'meh' length. I cut it all off once, spontaneously. I hated it. This time i am thinking about it, i want something in-between Alexa Chung, Pheobe Lettuce (What a stupid name) and Fearne Cotton. (Big old lady crush on those 3)

TOP PICKS

Hello there

These are a few bits that i really couldn't live without. They are the things i run to when i am in need of an outfit, and then a few extra bits that i really love. They are the basics in my wardrobe, everything is based around them. Hope you enjoy!

First of all i have my trusted Barbour coat. I'm sorry i don't have all the details of this coat. MY mother made me get this coat about 4 years ago, when she found it in a charity shop for £15 (don't hate me) and i have worn it every cold day since. 

It is the warmest coat and has about a million pockets, who needs a bag?!

This is my favourite jumper of all time. If i was to lose it i would cry for a solid hour. Its from Marks and Sparks a wonderful blue colour. My gran bought this for my mum a few years ago and i managed to steal it off her. Its cashmere, the softest and warmest thing i own. I overwear this like a mother. I have no idea how much this cost. 

For a night out i am so happy to wear a midi dress/ mid-length dress. For someone who doesnt like a show a lot of leg they are perfect. I never normally go for body con, but this is okay. This galaxy print is from the January sales, from River Island and cost me £12 and the long sleeve black one is from AX Paris and i cant remember how much this cost. 

If you speak to anyone who knew me 4 years ago they will tell you that all i wore was stripes. 

This blue and white number is my go to top for a number of occasions. I love the buttons on this top. again this is another hand me down from my mother! I didnt realise this as i was planning this post out.

I have had this Urban Outfitters bag now for nearly two years and i haven't used another clutch since. 

 It cost me £20. The tassels make this bag a bit different. IT can fit a surprising amount in!

Last of all i have a new accessories that i use way too much...

That is my goat. He is called Goat.

I adore these Dune boots, they are the comfiest things i have ever put on my feet. Got them at the bargain price of £23. 

I picked this watch up on Lloret De Marr on holiday this year. It broke within the week, but i still think its gorgeous.

I wear these silver rings every day. Found one on a floor and the turquoise one is from Accessorize. 

The gold necklace is my go-to necklace for any outfit, it can be doubled up or left as a large hoop. 

I'm so upset that my Marc Jacobs is nearly empty, its such a beautiful scent. I think the next perfume i get will be Chloe. 

These GANT sunglasses are the perfect size, found them at a bargain price in TK Maxx.
